Murray, Whitfield Counties, Ga. 7-16-2014

This picture was taken at Sumac Cemetery, Crandall Community, Murray County, Ga.

The far distance mountain is Fort Mountain which on the other side is Ellijay, Georgia.  It is called Fort Mountain because about a quarter of mile up the mountain you will run into a fort of huge boulders that circle the mountain.  The boulders are as big as cars.  No one really knows why or how the huge boulders are there.

This is Whitield - Murray Counties Historical Society.  I have got a lot of information from them through the years.  We just dropped by to say "Howdy!"

A lady came from a back from her lunch break to say "Howdy!" back.
