TREME & NASHVILLE on TV

We watched the new TV series NASHVILLE last night.  It had the makings of DALLAS and your run-of-the-mill soap opera.  What I liked about it was its real locations scenes.  Much of the show took place at the Blue Bird Cafe' in Nashville.  We spent an evening at the Blue Bird several years ago and either they used the actual cafe' or they did an excellent job of duplicating the place.

TREME on HBO is a story of the people of New Orleans rebuilding after Hurricane Katrinia.  You, the viewer, get to be an invisible voyeur right up in the faces of the players.  It is a study of people from all walks of life in the city but paying particular attention to the music and restaurant industry.  The week before last they went to the famous Preservation Hall, which I have visited on all three of my visits there.  It is a city like non-other and the HBO group is doing an excellent job  portraying its people.

My younest  son Adam  is going to that grand city today to attend a wedding.
