What Were You Doing 71 Years Ago Today?

Under that odd-shape structure is the U.S.S. ARIZONA.  I know what the people inside were doing 71 years ago today - fighting for their lives.

I visited the Arizona Memorial many years ago. The Waves operating the boat that took us out stopped in the middle of Pearl Harbor and described for us the events that we'd have seen that morning. Incredibly moving event.

Afterward, we went on to the Memorial. They were quite a few Japanese there. I thought briefly about pushing them off into the water, but didn't.

Mike,

Because you were considerate, when you visit the X marks in Hirsoshima and Nagasaski you can expect polite treatment back - maybe even a bow. Karma.
