Dalton, passed away Monday, May 8, 2006, at Quinton Memorial Health Care
Center.
Ms. Ridley was preceded in death
by her husband, Claude Ridley; parents, P.K. and Eula McAllister Messimer;
daughter, Lillian Powell; two sons, Wilburn Seth Ridley and William T. Ridley;
grandsons, Eddie Duane Cloer and William Thomas Ridley II; great-grandsons,
Terry Dale Taylor, Marlin Ridley, and William Thomas Ridley III; and brother,
James Rawls Messimer.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant
Methodist Church and the daughter of a Civil War veteran.
Survivors include daughters and
sons-in-law, Allene and Ivan Hughes of Ringgold, Janette and Bob Cloer of
Cleveland, Tenn., and Lena (Pat) Williams of Cleveland, Tenn.; sons and
daughters-in-law, Elmer and Martha Ridley of Cartersville, Kenneth and Lana
Ridley of Dalton, Robert (Bob) and Verlene Ridley of Warner Robins, and Larry
E. Ridley of Calhoun; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces
and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held
today at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home
with Rev. Tommy Ridley officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Deep Springs
Cemetery. A white dove release will conclude the service.
