Crandall, Murray County, Ga

This is Murray Country, Georgia, looking from Sumac Cemetery where a lot of my relatives are buried.  In each picture see the mountain in the far distance?    The mountain is is Fort Mountain.  Do you know why it is called Fort Mountain?  Because so far up  anywhere on the mountain you will run into a row of huge boulders, as big as Volkswagons you have to get by.  It is like a fort.  Since they are systematically arranged it is a mystery how and why they are there.

Petty Family Cemetery

This is in Fannin County, about ten miles south of Morganton.  An Air Force retiree school bus driver's daughter read my blog and told her father I was looking for the Petty Family cemetery.  He got in touch with me and he showed me where it was at.  I would have never found  it, it was way off in the woods.

Kennesaw Mtn Reenactment 2014-06-24

It was the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain and there were many Civil War Reenactors.   I overheard some of their conversations and they were really playing their parts realistically.  Like their minds had escape present reality.  Which I suppose I did also,  just call me Matthew Brady.
