So Long Sen Daniel Inouye, You Will Be Missed
Senator Daniel Inouye (Hawaii) died yesterday. He has been a Senator as long as Hawaii has been a state.
I remember seeing him during the Watergate Hearings. He seemed to be sharp and could smell a cover up or a lie quicker than the others represenatives on the panel. That was the first time I noticed the one-armed Japanese-American. He lost his arm in WW II.
As I heard more about him and what all he had to overcome with no hard feelings the more I respected him. Still do.
He was 88.
