Off Springs of Wiliam and Emaline Ray Hunter
Charles Jefferson Hunter (1865-1954). Charles was born in Macon County, North
Carolina. Toddler age he moved to Texas
with his parents and live there until he was about 14 years old. In 1879 they moved back east and settled in
Woodstock, Cherokee County, Georgia, in
the general area his father recuperated from a gunshot wound at the nearby
Civil War Kennesaw Mountain Battle.
Charles owned Hunter's Store near the Bells Ferry and Hwy 92
area. He had a post office in his
store. He was also postmaster of the
community. He had a weekly column in
the Cherokee Tribune newspaper published in Canton, Georgia. His column was appropriately named HUNTER'S
STORE. It reported on the deaths,
births, sicknesses, funerals, calf's births, and social happenings.
He first married
Paraline Victoria Dobbs (1861-1897).
She lived 35 years.
They had four children, three daughters and one son.
After Paraline's death Charles married
Letha Parr (1878-1961), 4 December 1898, in neighboring Cobb
County. He was 33 and she was 19.
They had three
daughters.
I think Charles was closer to his parents than his
siblings. He next door to them on Main
Street in Woodstock and he and Letha are in the same plot at Carmel Baptist
Church also in Woodstock. Charles first
wife is buried in the back of the same cemetery.
Charles lived 88 years and Letha 82.

Canton, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at WellStar Hospital Kennestone.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at
Huey Funeral Home Chapel in Canton, with the Rev. Billy Boggs, the Rev. Horace
Richards and the Rev. Joey Watson officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee
Memorial Park in Canton.
Mr. Pinyan was retired from
Georgia Power Co. after 40 years of service. He was a member of Holly Springs
First United Methodist Church and Hickory Flat Masonic Lodge #205. He was a
veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was married to his wife, Jean
Killian Pinyan for 59 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jean
K. Pinyan of Canton; two sons, Charles Pinyan Jr. of Canton and Thomas Pinyan
Sr. of Ball Ground; four brothers, Roy Pinyan of Canton, H. S. Pinyan of

John Rafas Hunter (1870 - 1940). John was probably born in Texas. John married Lillie Bell Hill (1875-1973), 21
March 1891, in Kelpin, Cobb County, Georgia.
He was 20 and Lillie was 15.
They had three daughters and one son. One of their daughters Gurine died
at age 18 of a rare disease.
Their only son Walter Clarence went to Indiana to find work and found it
in the steel mills. Ironically or
coincidental the daughters and their
husbands moved to the Birmingham,
Alabama, also to work in the steel mills.
After John died Lillie moved to Birmingham to live with one of her
daughters.
John lived 70 years and Lillie 97. They are buried at the Bascomb UMC Church
near Woodstock.
William Jason Hunter (1875-1896). William Jason 's is a clue that he knew his
father knew his father was Jason Henderson Hunter. William Jason died at age 21
William Jason Hunter took the
fever and died June 25, 1896. His wife
Fannie Medley Hunter, who was born July 17, 1876, had one child and another one
on the way when he died. He asked her
not to marry again and told her he would meet her in heaven. She never married and died April 5, 1978 at
