Mr. Willie 'Bill' Ridley, beloved husband, daddy and papaw, 91, of Chatsworth, went to glory on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, from his home.

Bill was the son of the late George W. and Annie Gossett Ridley. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delre Baggett Ridley; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Linda Ridley; daughter, Carolyn Wilbanks; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and James Ridley, all of Chatsworth; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Caylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Hamilton Hospice.

Mr. Gordon Lee Ridley, 90, of Dalton passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Aloe Ridley; parents, George and Annie G. Ridley; brothers, Leonard, Marshall, Henry and Grady Ridley; sisters, Minnie and Avril Ridley.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Carla Ridley; son and friend, Raymond Ridley and Nancy Flood; grandchildren, Eric and Tina Ridley, Brenda and James Blaylock; great-grandchildren, Autumn Ridley, Miranda and Donnie Blaylock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Delre Ridley, Dennis Ridley, Elbert Ridley, Creed Ridley, Gene and Betty Ridley, Linwood and Jay Ridley, Jerri Ridley, Erica Ridley, Fannie Walls, Daisy Walls and Bessie Walls; nieces and nephews; caregivers, Linda Wagnon and Mary Nell Sanford.

Dennis C. Ridley

Mr. Dennis C. Ridley, 85, of Fayetteville, N.C., died Sunday, April 8, 2007, in North Carolina.

Dennis was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie Ridley; wife, Nell Ridley; sisters, Minnie Ross and Avril Ridley; and brothers, Bill, Lee, Leonard, Grady, Marshall and Henry Ridley.

Survivors include his sons, Ronnie Ridley of Clear Lake Oaks, Calif. and David Ridley of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Elbert Ridley, Creed Ridley and Gene Ridley, all of Chatsworth and Linwood Ridley of Rock Spring; nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services are Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Bagley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Lynda Ridley of Dalton, Louise and Gerald Miles of Chatsworth, and Teresa Bays of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jackie Ridley of Cleveland, Tenn.; brothers, Gene Ridley of Chatsworth and Lynwood Ridley of Rock Springs; grandchildren, Kerri and Bruce Longmire of Dalton, Kelli and Kenny Newport of Chatsworth, and Kayti Ridley and Kevin Ridley of Atlanta; and great-grandchildren, Blake and Alec Longmire, Colton Newport, Justice Green and Brooklyn Ridley. A number of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins mourn his passing as well.

 His family called him Pop. Pop was a master gardener and loved the Earth and watching things grow. He worked hard all his life and was a good Christian man. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy as he grew older. He became blind in his later years, but he never lost his faith in God. Now he can see again.

Funeral services to celebrate Creed's life will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Damon Smith and the Rev. Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
